Seven patents in ECG/biosignal pattern recognition — algorithms deployed in ICUs worldwide — provide a clinical engineering foundation that very few ML consultants can match. Biodiversity & Ecological ML
End-to-end ML research pipeline built for lichen classification in collaboration with Arizona State University: BioCLIP ViT-L/14 + ArcFace metric learning, multi-locus phylogenetic inference from GenBank data, UMAP/HDBSCAN clustering, and PostgreSQL biodiversity database engineering across 200,000+ taxa records.
Directly applicable to other ecological imaging, species identification, and biodiversity informatics engagements.
ML Systems Architecture & Data Engineering
Broad production systems experience — distributed database design, microservices architecture, cloud platforms (AWS DynamoDB, RDS, ElastiCache), and API design — applied to the challenge of building ML pipelines that actually run in production.
Cybersecurity & Security Operations
Full-stack security operations tooling developed from scratch: real-time SIEM event visualization with MITRE ATT&CK kill chain timelines, compliance posture gap detection against NIST 800-171 and CMMC control domains, and a multi-source normalization layer spanning Wazuh 4/5 and Elastic Security (ECS) schemas — Suricata, Zeek, and Filebeat sources included.
Applied hands-on background in OpenSearch aggregation design, Wazuh deployment and rule analysis, SCA policy assessment, and SOC dashboard engineering. Relevant to government and defense organizations with CMMC compliance requirements and to MSSPs managing Wazuh-based environments for multiple customers.
